Why am I not on DA anymore?

Consider this a rant, practically because I don't care, really.

Rimfrost used to be a good, good friend of mine.
Now there's fair, and then there's just wrong. All of these thoughts are more than likely what a fair amount of people on DA's underground are thinking but are never saying because of argument.

A piece of art is posted in the traditional art section, comics. It's a beautifully detailed piece of work, elegantly shaded, beautiful lighting and even right on the level with nanya and some of the other great DA veterans. It merits around 50 favorites, barely satisfactory for the work done.

Meanwihle, in the same section a work of art is released, unpolished, with a "drawn in 3 minutes" look, getting 2000 to 3000 favorites.

Deviantart has turned into this, let themselves turn into a business, a selling point; rather than a place for artists to find some kind of connection and pride in their work from criticism. It's gotten slightly better since I was last here, but it can never be the same as it was a few years ago.

People struggle here, too much I might add. Sometimes when I posted a piece of art, I was glad if it got 2 favorites from some person I don't know; hell, I still am.

quite frankly, this place makes me sick.

We still have one more submisson from the "Lost Deviation" gallery. Before I do that though, I might add that I am done with William Cutting. In that note I also have another comic that is sketched but whether or not I intend on finishing it is another story.

To be made's:

1. My Reflection Remake(cancelled, again.... do we really need it? lol)
2. Nick and Kyle 2006(where the style has lead us, once again)

To-be Realeases:

The Marionette:

2 years in the making, The Marionette is a twist on the way and direction art can be turned. The way it was created was so that you could set it either upside down or rightside up, that is if you can tell which is which to begin with. This was a drawing that was meant to be made long ago that was done as an art submission to my art class a few months ago and it did pretty well in the county art show hitting #2, with "The Professor" at #1 and "Best in Show"

Portrait of William Cutting:

There isn't much to say on this one, it just kicks ass. I had to keep the ballpoint pen inking on this under a good control because of the neatness of his clothing and the order of how everything is placed in the way I designed it.

Hope you enjoy.
